waybar-calendar Privacy Policy

waybar-calendar is a personal desktop integration used only by its owner.

  • Access and use: The app requests read-only Google Calendar access (calendar.readonly) through the Google Workspace CLI (gws). It reads the owner’s primary calendar to display upcoming events and send desktop reminders. Event data includes titles, times, locations, reminder settings, and event and meeting links. The app does not create, change, or delete calendar events.
  • Local storage: OAuth credentials are managed by gws on the owner’s computer. Fetched events are held in memory while the app runs. Reminder identifiers and timestamps are stored locally to prevent duplicate notifications. Event details shown in desktop notifications may also be retained by the local notification service.
  • Sharing: Calendar data and OAuth credentials are not sent to this website. The app communicates with Google to authenticate and retrieve events. Data is not sold, shared with third parties for other purposes, or used for advertising.
  • Retention and deletion: In-memory event data is cleared when the app stops. Locally stored credentials and reminder records remain until removed by the owner. Any notification history is managed by the local notification service.
  • Revoking access: The owner can revoke access at any time through Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future authorized calendar requests; it does not delete existing local credentials, reminder records, or notification history.
